To support this mission, we’ve made it a priority to update our suite of product features on a quarterly basis to not only make Disciple the best community platform available but most importantly, so that our hosts can save time, engage and retain their members and become the community heroes they’ve always dreamed of being.

1. New member highlighting
We understand the importance of welcoming new members to create a seamless community onboarding journey, which is why you can now wave goodbye to having to manually tag your new members on a post, hoping that your community members will remember who the new kids on the block are.
Thanks to our new member badge feature, you’ll now be able to spotlight any new members who join your community, on your activity feed as well as in groups with a ‘new member’ tag; making it even easier for your new members to feel at home.
2. Group admin highlighting
Groups are the foundation of a digital community so we felt that it was important to enhance how members are able to discover the range of groups on offer so that they feel inspired to join them and engage in specific topics of conversation.

To make this even easier, we’ve rolled out a new ‘sharing groups feature’. This means members can share groups that matter through a post so that other members can easily view and join them via a ‘Join’ button on the post.
4. Sharing events
We understand how crucial events are in bringing members together to strengthen connections, which is why we’ve launched our new sharing events feature.
Members can now discover events through shared posts that have an RSVP feature embedded directly into the post, without needing to leave their feed. This helps members to organically discover events and increase the chance of attendance.
5. Member empowerment
Empowering members to have a sense of ownership and control over a community they’re a part of is a vital part of building a safe online space where members can gather and interact.
Not only is this important for your members, but as a host it also allows you to offload some responsibilities to your Super Members without the need to give them a full admin role.
To make everyone's lives easier, we’ve rolled out a feature that allows group admins to assist with the management and moderation of a community. This means that group admins can now report, unpublish, pin and disable comments on posts.
6. Integrations
Integrations are a great way to create powerful connections between Disciple and other software. Using integrations such as Mailchimp and Appsflyer with a Disciple community allows you to build connections with systems that can have a huge benefit to your community.
We’re pleased to announce that both of the above-mentioned integrations are now completely free and of self-service in the Console. On top of that, we have been looking at ways to take integrations even further while also making it easier. Introducing, Zapier! Our Zapier integration allows you to integrate with who you want, how you want, providing you with more flexibility and autonomy.
7. Weekly email digest
We understand that retaining members and keeping them returning on a weekly basis is vital to creating high engagement and loyalty with members, which is why we’ve rolled out a new email digest feature.
This is a weekly automated email that rounds up the best content from your community such as trending posts and top events to inspire your members to stay informed and engaged.
